This site summarizes published research on Parkinson's disease in plain English, for people living with Parkinson's and their families.
How the summaries are made
- Every study is checked against its original source: the journal article, PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, or a regulator such as the FDA.
- Each summary links to its sources so you can read them yourself or bring them to your doctor.
- Results are labeled by how strong the evidence is. Negative and disappointing results are included, not just good news.
- Pages show the month they were last updated. Research moves quickly, so check the date.
What this site is not
It is not medical advice and does not recommend any treatment, product or trial. Talk to your neurologist before changing medication, diet, supplements or exercise, or before joining a clinical trial.
Finding a clinical trial
You can search for Parkinson's trials at ClinicalTrials.gov and through the Michael J. Fox Foundation Trial Finder.
